Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 5 – So here’s the thing about pigs – we are actually omnivores. Got it? We like to eat roots, leaves, flowers, fruit and tree twigs and even the odd piece of crunchy bark. But we will also scoop up wiggly worms and insects and carcasses – both fresh and rotting. And contrary to popular belief – we really like to enjoy our food – so we eat very slowly and deliberately.

So just forget those insulting quips – “pig out” and eat like a pig” – that is all about you people – not us. We would NEVER eat like a human – we are much too refined for that kind of behaviour!
