The Chains That Bind
Humanity Has So Much To Answer For
The Chains That Bind – If humans cherish freedom why do so many animals live in slavery? The answer lies in a deep seated prejudice that many humans display towards other species. It is ironic that as Western society becomes increasingly liberal and tolerant, this deep rooted discrimination – this pathological cruelty – shows no signs of abating.

A Productive Day & Thoughts For Tomorrow
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – December 20, 2004 – I was up early this morning, determined to accomplish most of the things on my never-ending list. It’s so close to the holidays that it’s tempting to just shut down the business side of my life and say – “Time for all this next year – there are movies to see”.

Pig Tales
Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 19 – So here’s the thing about pigs – our natural habitat is almost anywhere in the world. We’re omnivores so we can survive in most climates. Pigs are mammals and our early origins are from the Eurasian wild boar. We’re also called hogs or swine – which is a generic reference to all pigs – regardless of our gender, breed or country of origin.

Another Successful Soiree
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – December 19, 2004 – I got to bed last night about quarter to three. Big stayed and helped me with the initial clean up after the last of my guests departed. The Power Of The Written Word
Poetry – My Last Moments – Just as a song can draw us into its melody and connect us to the power at its core – a well crafted poem can deliver a message of hope, despair, humour, love, honour, kinship or compassion. A poet can move us to tears or laughter and with just one phrase – transport us to a time long past or an event about to take place.

Pig Tales
Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 18 – So here’s the thing about pigs – we are the final of the 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. Our brethren are – the rat – ox – tiger – rabbit – dragon – snake – horse – goat – monkey – rooster and dog and then us piggies (we stand for money, honesty, happiness and virility). Our fixed element is water and that’s why we like to swim so much. I’m pretty sure the dragon is an imposter!
