The Vulgar Ignorance Of Nepal – Gadhimai Killing Festival – In South Central Nepal near the border with India. Why anyone would want to visit this Godless country is a mystery. But I am told that the people of Nepal are mostly wonderful and that it is a country of great beauty. Over the last 2 days the government sanctioned slaughter of innocent animals has again taken place. A frenzied killing of sentient beings to appease a Hindu Goddess.

It was a bright, but cool Sunday and going to the movies seemed in order. I had a thought about seeing Alexander The Great, but the reviews apparently haven’t been good, so we decided that an afternoon with Johnny Depp would be as enjoyable as one with Colin Farrell.

We roll in the mud (just like an elephant) to protect our hides from the sun. And because we don’t sweat – we like to keep cool in the mud. If we have a big yard to live in we never soil our living space.

A Person’s Home Is Very Revealing
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – November 27, 2004 – I met a client for lunch today and then completed the last bit of my holiday shopping. I am done – gifts for all – and quite lovely ones at that. I won’t have pleased my brother. I’m guilty of giving him more stuff. In addition to the bottle of “aged” Port that I always wrap for him – I bought him another puddy for his cat collection and a great black and white photograph, also of a puddy.
