It Was Worth It
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – August 19, 2004 – My data retrieval was successful! I have my computer back up and running just as it was on August 8th – my files are intact – my writing file is safe. I’ve printed out the month of July on paper. I can see it – touch it – put it away in a file folder – get it out again and not worry about it disappearing in a puff of cyber smoke. It exists!

A Tale Of Two Lion Cubs In Spain – Part 1
A Tale Of Two Lion Cubs In Spain – Part 1 – Never let anyone tell you that people working together towards a common cause cannot make a difference – because they can. This story from Chris Mercer and CACH Representatives in Spain CJ and Luis Munoz proves what compassionate and caring people can do. These 2 precious cubs CACH and SPAIN will grow up in a protected sanctuary because people stepped up and said “this is wrong” and then set about to “make it right”.

Animals, Pets & People
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – August 18, 2004 – For as long as I can remember I have shared my life, my heart and my home with pets. I was horse crazy as a kid and saved my money to buy my own horse – Charcoal when I was eleven.

Global Animal Abuser Registry
Global Animal Abuser Registry – This is not a pie-in-the-sky idea. Does this notion seem far-fetched you? In my opinion – it has become essential. No only do we choose not to protect animals around the world when they are abused in the most appalling ways – we do nothing. We fail them completely.

Using Down Time Wisely
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – August 17, 2004 – I tend to be a worrier. It’s not much wonder considering my track record with panic and high anxiety. Sounds like a good name for a novel, doesn’t it? “Panic and High Anxiety” – “A spellbinding saga of family intrigue, corporate greed and star-crossed lovers torn apart by the demands of their respective dynasties.

Factory Farming Evil – Part 1
Factory Farming Evil – Part 1 – I don’t know the author of this particular piece (I wish I did). I have seen it on social media more than once and I thank whoever wrote it for the courage to put this savage suffering into words. This is a story that needs to be told – read – shared and re-shared. This is an example of the price that animals pay for our selfish ignorance. I like to think of this beautiful cow as “Hope” – may she never be forgotten!
