But then we focus on the task at hand – which is creating awareness to help them – and get back to doing the job that stirs our passions and helps to correct human wrongs!

Young People Want To See Change – During the last year I have had the good fortune to connect with young people from around the world who are very concerned about animal and environmental issues. It is very encouraging to see their commitment to creating change and their compassion for all creatures who have no ability to defend themselves.

Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 54 – Iggy Oink is quite frankly exhausted from talking to you human peoples all week. He’s not even sure if you understand what he is saying and that is very frustrating. Sigh! So he has decided to write another poem and then come back next week and start all over again. As you know Iggy Oink does not work on the week-ends – this is a time for piggie play!

Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 53 – Iggy Oink is just asking you to think about the business of “factory farming”. They operate on the following premise: 1)  Spend less money on the animals 2) Force them to live in small dense quarters 3) Don’t let the public see what is going on 4) Pass laws to prevent people from investigating them 5) Hire smart marketing people to make our products look kind and humane = LOTS MORE PROFIT for us. Yippee!

Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 52 – Iggy Oink is just asking you to think about all the pain that goes into “bacon” – it’s not really bacon at all – it is the neatly sliced and carefully packaged body of a little pig who really wanted to live. I know this because my  sister Ruby once got on a truck and never came back.
