Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – October 28, 2004 – It’s almost November and time for the twice yearly closet change. I have a sizeable home but even so, the storage space is at a premium. My third floor has no closets at all and of the three bedrooms, only two have closets. I use the closet in the den as my current season space and the other one for off-season clothes.

Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – October 27, 2004– There was a time when the thought of spending time shopping with a friend, having lunch and then shopping some more, sent little tingles of joy surging through my size 10 body. Most things that I tried on fit – I wore size 28 slim boot jeans, looked great in a fitted blazer and could wear cropped sweaters and figure hugging tee shirts. I was in my mid-forties. Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – October 26, 2004 – Sometimes I think I should be put in a home. No, not a home for the aged, but a nice getaway for the unbalanced. Maybe a Green Acres for the feeble-minded. Was it only a couple of days ago that I was keenly aware of my good fortune in light of having seen the old lady in the wheelchair? Now correct me if I’m wrong. So why pray tell do I feel as if I’ve just been steam rolled by a tar spreader.

Well, to be honest there are 13 – sort of a Baker’s Dozen of the Inukshuk world. I made a mini-Inushuk of all the left-over white stones that were at the bottom of the rock bag.

I read it at the time but then put it aside and didn’t really think that much about it. I was cleaning out a box in my office the other day when I came across it. Cast Of Characters – When I started my animal blog – A Beating Heart on February 14, 2013 – I was motivated to do so to create awareness about the issues that animals are facing in every country around the world. My introduction to animal activism started 8 years ago with the adoption of 11 baby elephants and little Max – the orphaned, blind baby rhino at The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Africa. These little beings touched my heart then and they still do today. I have watched them grow up and I’m thrilled to be a part of their lives!
