A Good Pen
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – February 9, 2004 – A good pen makes writing an enjoyable exercise. Over the years I’ve had a number of favourite pens. Not necessarily expensive pens like a Montblanc, but regular run-of-the-mill pens, easily purchased at an office supply store.

Saying Goodbye
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – February 8, 2004 – I have loved animals since childhood. My earliest memory of having my ‘very own’ pet was a kitten named Mickey. I was three years old to Mickey’s 2 months. We should have grown up together, but it wasn’t to be.

Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – February 7, 2004 – I’m not sure if this saying is attributed to a famous person or if it has simply become an accepted maxim because it has the ring of truth – similar to an urban legend. A Recovering Perfectionist
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – February 5, 2004 – At some point as my little body was rolling along the baby assembly line – God, or perhaps one of his naughty little angels thought – “Just for fun let’s make this one a perfectionist”. Zap – a few sprinkles of obsessive-compulsive dust and a dollop of perfectionism potion landed on my unsuspecting forehead.

Writing
Short Stories From 10 Years Ago – February 4, 2004 – It’s frequently said that a writer’s life is an isolated, often lonely one. Pictures of the scribes of old, secluded in a garret, gnarled fingers curled around a feather pen, writing on scraps of paper by candlelight come to mind. Rather Shakespearean!
