Pig Tales by Iggy Oink – 9 – So here’s the thing about pigs – pigs sometimes have jobs. For instance we have been used on battlefields to sniff out mines. I think we need danger pay! And in the olden days – big ships always had pigs on board because if they foundered in a storm the sailors believed that we would always swim for the closest land. We do love the water!

And don’t forget about our amazing sense of smell – snuffling for truffles in the countryside. Need I say more? And by the way – we’re good with directions too and can find our way home over really long distances. All in all – its’ good to have a pig around!
